About Us

Watch My Step was founded  and developed by co-partners Yvonne Apodaca and Helen Acevez.  Both have worked in the non-profit sector for 15 years in the areas of  Social Services, Child Care and Child Development Services

 

Ms. Apodaca is a graduate from the University of San Diego with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and Ms. Acevez graduated from California State University of San Bernardino with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology as well.

 

For the past 15 years Ms. Apodaca and Ms. Acevez have dedicated themselves to enriching the lives of children and families.

 

Their vast experience and knowledge has driven them together to give back to the community by keeping children safe. Their dedication and strong will has brought them together as a team in building Watch My Step.  It is their mission to:

Watch My Step is a service that emphasizes on a variety of topics on child safety. Our focus is to provide knowledge to parents and caregivers about safety concerns for children through workshops and trainings.

Our topics are based on the most current data and research. In addition, Watch My Step is registered with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission in receiving updated information on the latest child related recalls.
