Protecting Children One Step At A Time

Our trainings are fun, motivating and  informational. The information presented is based on current research and data.  Watch My Step continues to update information to remain current with child care safety regulations, laws and concerns.

   

Presenters, Helen Acevez and Yvonne Apodaca present the information as it relates to, not only research,  but to their professional experiences as well. 

 

Watch My Step emphasizes on a variety of topics on child care safety. Our focus is to provide knowledge to child care providers and caregivers about safety concerns for children through our child care safety trainings.

Child care safety topics involve the areas of :

Basic Community Care Licensing Requirements (if applicable), Basic Health and Safety Issues, Staff Issues, Appropriate Staff Coverage, Student/Teacher Ratios, Child Proof Facility, Incident Reporting, Suspected Child Abuse, What it means to be a “Mandated Reporter”, Dealing with Irate Parents, Basic/Simple Ways of Communicating  with Children and Applying Appropriate Discipline

If you are a license-exempt center and/or after school program in need of an objective evaluation of your program, we are available for you. We can objectively inspect and evaluate your program sites. Upon completion we will provide you with a Report of Findings from each site which will include our recommendations. We will then use the findings to develop a comprehensive training for your staff. This monitoring review of your program will provide you with objective recommendations based on our inspections. This service can be extremely beneficial since you would  be utilizing an outside source to provide the utmost objective evaluation.
